Anna Marie Malek, 91, of Shadyside, Ohio died Monday, January 17, 2022 at the WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia. She was born July 4, 1930 in Preston County, West Virginia a daughter of the late James Henry and Anna Mary (Barlow) Greaser. Anna Marie graduated from Kingwood High School in 1948. She entered Mt. St. Joseph and took the name Mary Agnes. She furthered her education and graduated from Duquesne University with a Elementary degree as Sister Mary Agnes. After leaving the convent, she met Paul Joseph Malek during a prayer meeting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Joseph Malek on November 17, 2010, three brothers, Leo, Joseph, and Lawrence, five sisters, Minnie Hovatter, Nellie Greaser, Frances Sypolt, Ada Bucklew, and infant sister. Surviving Anna are several nieces and nephews. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 11:00am at the St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio with Fr. Daniel Heusel as Celebrant. Inurnment in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.

To Anna Maire and Family..Anne was a very special lady for many years she watched me and my siblings grow helping use to learn to read and write and we would enjoy supper and me and my one sister Angela would enjoy watching her coco clock and Anna Maire had a loving ❤ and beauty for gardening as so did her husband Paul..So it sadness me to hear of her loss ..But I know she will forever be with the angels and in my families heart..with love Laura Ramsay ❤
