Anthony (Tony) Jordan Kernik
Tony arrived in Powhatan Point, Ohio on August 4, 1997. Tony passed away quietly at home in Powhatan Point on July 14, 2018.
Tony was a charming young man that had an infectious smile and an easy-going manner. He loved fishing, four wheeling and watching movies with friends and family. He loved volunteering at the 18th Street Center in downtown Wheeling.
Tony was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Anthony Kernik and Richard Welsh and his brother-in-law, Timothy Paul.
Tony will be missed by his parents, Ted and Sheri Kernik, his brother and best friend, Alex Kernik, siblings, Jessica Paul, Richard Morgan and Danielle and Poe Leggette, grandmothers, Bettie Kernik and Lynn Welsh. Also nieces and nephews, Trevor and Kyla Leggette, Kelsie, TJ and Desiree Paul, uncles and aunt, Tod Kernik, Jim and Lisa Bucon, cousins, Chris and Emily Bucon. Tony will also be missed by his extended family and his friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory Powhatan Point, Ohio on Wednesday from 11 am until time of services at 1 pm with Rev. Doug Liston officiating. Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery.
The family has requested that instead of flowers that contributions may be made to the Catholic Charities Neighborhood Center 125 18th Street Wheeling, WV by going to TMCFunding.com.

I am so sorry to hear about Tony, he was a great person, I remember helping out at school and if he was in the class I was in he always said yes please, no thank you, his smile lite the room, that’s how I will remember him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all through this difficult time. Just keep the memories alive, keep sharing the stories that you have about him.
