Aretta R. Cooper, 86, of Shadyside, Ohio died Thursday April 7, 2022.
She was born March 25, 1936 in Murphy, NC a daughter of the late Otto and Vesta (Cole) Newman.
She was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church, Shadyside, Ohio and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Cooper, brother; Charles Newman, Juanita Cobb, Frankie Mae Bingham, Regina Foster, Oralee Hunter and Ella Davenport.
She is survived by her two children; Wayne (Christy) Cooper, of Shadyside, Ohio and Lynette Gorczyca, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, her brother; H.A. Newman, of Georgia, two grandchildren; Evan Cooper and Brittany (Chase) Kaldor, three great grandchildren; Creed Kaldor, Sloane Kaldor, Keir Kaldor and another on the way.
Family will receive friends Monday April 11, 2022 at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory 3900 Central Ave. Shadyside, Ohio 43947 from 3-7pm and Tuesday April 12, 2022 at the New Life Fellowship Church from 10am until the time of service at 11am with Pastor Joel Traylor officiating. Interment to follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
