Betty J. Mellott, 92 of Shadyside, Ohio died Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
She was born May 24, 1924 in Belmont County, Ohio the daughter of the late William Matz and Helen Tollett Snyder.
Betty was a homemaker and attended the East Richland Evangelical Friends Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd B. Mellott on August 19, 1996, her two brothers, William and Robert Matz and her daughter-in-law, Paula Miller Mellott.
Surviving are her children, James Mellott of Belmont, Ohio and Sharon (Jerry) Elliott of Shadyside, Ohio. Also four grandchildren, Terri Flanagan, Jami (Shane) Chambers, Craig Elliott and Cole (Lauren) Elliott, four great Caitlin Flanagan, Casey Flanagan, Jordan Chambers and Jaelyn Chambers and one great great grandson, Greyson Flanagan and several nieces and nephews.
Private visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio. Interment in the Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
