Betty Virginia Strong passed away on February 12, 2024 at the Shadyside Care Center.
She was born on May 18, 1924 to the late Graden Yates, Sr. and Grace Hinds Yates.
She was a Methodist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and her son, and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Mitzi Strong; brother, Graden (Daisy) Yates Jr., and her sister, Rilla Mae (Richard) Thuring and nephew, Richard Thuring, Jr.
She is survived by her nephew, Clyde (Sandy) Yates, her nieces, Linda Yates and Connie Thuring; her grand-niece, Tina (Victor) Exner, grand-nephews, Clyde (Kim) Yates and Zachary Thuring.
Family and friends will be received at Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Home 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, OH on Thursday, February 15th, 2024 from 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Seth Filburn officiating. Burial will follow at Belmont Memorial Cemetery – Richland, OH.

Loved this lady and I was actually thinking of her this past week. She just was special to me many days I would just sit and talk to her

I was just thinking about her a couple days ago when I saw the holly bush she gave me years ago I met her and her husband many times because I worked with her son Ralph at the Lab as well as Mitzi all beautiful people who welcomed me into their lives They will all rest in peace together now

R.I.P. Aunt Gin . I will miss you very much and all my visit in July when I came back home. I am very sad but happy for you knowing this is what you been looking forward to be with all you loved ones in heaven. Thank you for naming me. I will never forget it. Love you forever. Brenda
