Beverly A. Hrdlicka, 79 of Bellaire, Ohio died Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born July 13, 1941 in Bellaire, Ohio daughter of the late Albert B. and Beatrice L. Brown Johnson.

Bev was the owner of Bev’s Floral & Gifts in Bellaire, a devoted member of the Bellaire Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and President of the former Child Guidance Club. Bev was well known for her homemade peanut butter fudge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant son Tommy Hrdlicka, granddaughter, Lyndsay Dawn Hrdlicka and three brothers, Charles, Albert and William Johnson.

Surviving are her loving husband of 61 years, Donald F. “Herb” Hrdlicka, whom she married on August 15, 1959, her son, Donald (Brenda) Hrdlicka, Jr. of Shadyside, Ohio, her daughter, Leigh Ann (Jeff) LaRoche of St. Clairsville, Ohio, two sisters, Phyllis Hendershot of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Nancy Reed of Sacramento, California, two sister-in-laws Tessie Johnson and Diane Johnson both of St. Clairsville, Ohio and one brother, Howard “Dave” Johnson of Shadyside, Ohio. Also Three grandchildren, CJ LaRoche and Cory (Jessie) LaRoche both of Bellaire, Ohio and Stephanie (Brian) Schambs of Honolulu, Hawaii, two great granddaughters, Hailey and Bristol and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where services will be held on Saturday at 11 am. Interment in the Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Following the committal service family and friends are invited to a luncheon in Bev’s honor at the Sons of Italy Lodge in Bellaire.

I was so sorry to get this news just a few days ago! This has been a tough year! Bev was a great neighbor for years. I always enjoyed watching her decorate their home for the holidays! She had a real talent! I have items in my home that she made and I will cherish! I send my condolences for the family members and prayers for all! RIP, Bev! I can’t wait to see what you make for your Father in Heaven!

I was so sad to hear of the passing of this wonderful woman. Many great memories from being the neighbor of Bev, Herb, Leigh Ann, & Donnie back in the 70’s. Praying that God gives comfort to all of her loved ones. Cherish the Memories !!!
