Carl E. “Butch” Crooks, 72, of Bellaire, Ohio died August 12, 2018, at Lizas Place, Wheeling, WV. Carl was born June 12, 1946, in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Chester L. and Jacqueline J. Greenwood Crooks.
He was retired employee of the former NACCO #1 Mine Powhatan Pt, OH, a member of the American Legion and the Eagles both of Bellaire. He was a Catholic by Faith.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were two sisters, Barbara Ann McGhee and Nancy Hughes-Karvellis.
Surviving are his wife, Susan Schnegg Crooks, a son, Thomas (Gail) Crooks of Bridgeport, OH, a brother, Chester Crooks of Clarington, OH and a sister Jacquie (Mike) Jochumsen of St. Clairsville, OH. his extended family, Coke, Debi, Jamie, Jennifer, and Marc.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the Bellaire American Legion, Post 52, Bellaire, OH.

Jacquie and Chester, I’m so sorry to hear of your brother’s passing. I didn’t know him but I know both of you and think of you often in my memories. My condolences to you and your families.
