Catherine A. DiNardo Weeks, 71 of Shadyside, Ohio died Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born October 27, 1949 in Wheeling, West Virginia daughter of the late Bernard and Connie Sofranko DiNardo, Cathy was a devoted member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Shadyside, Ohio and the Sons of Italy Lodge 754 in Bellaire, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Mark Weeks on June 9, 2012, whom she married on October 8, 1977, an infant daughter, Natalie Marie Weeks, one brother, Bernard DiNardo, Jr. and two sisters, Virginia Ann DiNardo and Patty Czeszticki.

Surviving are her children, twin sons, Joshua (Angela) Weeks of Glen Dale, West Virginia and Jarrett (Gina) Weeks of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Erica (Robert) Thomas of Shadyside, Ohio, three sisters, Nancy (Donald) Mitchell, Mary (Bob) Prunty and Pam (James) Boyd all of Wellsburg, West Virginia and two brothers, Thomas (Sharon) DiNardo and James DiNardo both of Edinburg, Virginia. Also six beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Layla, Jace,Cooper, Camden and Curtis Mark, several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.

Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 am at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Shadyside, Ohio with Fr. Daniel Heusel as Celebrant.

Interment in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Key, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary Catholic Church by going to TMCFunding.com.

Oh how sorry I am to hear of the loss of your sweet Mama. We grew up at the baseball fields and swim meet practices. Our lives enmeshed with our children. I will miss you as we went thru life, losing both our husbands way too young. God bless your families!

I’m so sorry to hear about your mother Mrs. Thomas. I always enjoyed talking and waiting on her when she came into the store and when she picked up Cooper and Camden from Preschool. Prayers for all of you. May perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
