Charles Alan Strahl, 80 of Germantown, Maryland died Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Montgomery Hospice Casey House in Rockville, Maryland

He was born June 19, 1935 in Bellaire, Ohio son of the late Charles B. and Mildred McCoy Strahl.

Charles was a retired general foreman for the Department of Justice and a US Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Sue Strahl and one son, Dale Alan Strahl.

Surviving are his wife, Twana June Schaner Strahl, whom he married on June 24, 1961 in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, Ohio; two daughters, Lori Ann Strahl (Harry) Wineland of Coraopolis, PA and Kara Lynn Strahl ( Anthony) Agresti of Urbana, MD, one grandson, Dustin W. Storey of Urbana, MD and one sister, Sharon (Gregory) Hartman of Wheeling, WV.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 10 am until time of services at 11 am with Vicar Sherri Shafer officiating. Interment in the Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church or the Montgomery Hospice Casey House.

Sharon, I am so sorry to hear of Alan’s passing. I have a lot of good memories of him from our days on Gravel Hill.
