Clair “Joe” Joseph Long, Jr. 71 of Bellaire, Ohio died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at his home.

He was born April 17, 1945 in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Clair J. Long, Sr. and Ruth E. Darnley Kelly.

Joe was a retired truck driver for LandStar.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Allen Long of Bellaire, Ohio, caregiver and companion, Gloria J. Arn, children, Cindy (Ray) Clark and Jody Carson both of Danville, Illinios, Melissa (Russ) Vance of Kennewick, Washington, Mary “Suzi” Garland of Mingo Junction, Ohio, Joe (Cheryl) Long, III of Bellaire, Ohio and Shannon Long; brothers and sisters, Sally (Jerry) Marling of Bellaire, Ohio, Patricia Hendershot of Huntington, Indiana, Mary (Amiel) Helle of Delaware, Ohio, Colleen (Ron) Burgess of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Robert “Mike” Kelly of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Dee (Bill) Springer, Janet (Jim) Conrad and Rick Long all of Derry, Pennsylvania and John (Mary) Long of Blairsville, Pennsylvania. Also fourteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Saturday from 2pm until time of services at 4 pm with Pastor Mark A. Zelewicz officiating.

Joe and Cheryl, I am so sorry for your loss!! I spoke to you both about the memories of Joe from our time at Teepak. Glad that you got to spend more time with him. RIP Joe!!

Joe teaching me how to build stock cars. Great times, with the purple 77. I learned allot, and still can work on cars. Thank you Joe, I love you, R.I.H
