Constance ‘Connie’ L. Mayeres, 82, of Shadyside died March 3, 2024 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Connie was born on September 24, 1941. In addition to her parents, Margaret and Emil Yeager, she was preceeded in death by her beloved husband Richard C. Mayeres, Daughter Tammy Montgomery; Brothers, Frederick (Helen) Yeager, Al Yeager and twin sister Betty (Robert) Ainsworth.

She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Wheeling, WV and briefly attended Wheeling College. After high school she was employed for many years as a secretary, ultimately retiring from Wheeling Hospital Continuous Care Center.

Connie was a loving mother, Grandmother and Aunt to several generations. She loved her family and home; friends and neighbors brought her much joy. Always bubbly and full of spunk, she found pleasure in spending time with all. Especially memorable were family trips to the Beach, and visiting family members in Washington DC, Columbus OH and St. Louis MO.

Connie is survived by her Children Tina (Jim) Patterson, Rich (Laurie) Mayeres, Son-in Law Brent Montgomery; Grandchildren Jessica Otto, Connor Patterson, Jenna (Dave) Bonar, Jaycee Mayeres and great- grandson Ethan Postlethwait; step-granddaughter Tori Patterson and step-great granddaughter Karrah Vensel; numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear close friends and neighbors.

After private services she will be interred at Powhatan Cemetery on March 15, 2024

Tina Richie and family your mom was always sweet and kind to us and everyone she was around I enjoyed talking to her whenever I was down at the house she will be missed!
