Dale H. Baker, Sr., 75, of Shadyside, OH died Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born July 26, 1943 in Bellaire, OH a son of the late Judson and Goldie Whitlach Baker.
Dale was a retired employee of North American Coal Company # 5 mine at Powhatan Point, OH and Tonkavich Trucking Company of Shadyside and a Christian by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Brooks Baker in 2013; a sister, Ivy Baker Coker.
Surviving are his children, Dale H. “Cap” (Trina) Baker, Jr. of Shadyside, Marjorie (Mike) Costulas of Elwood City, PA and Brian (Nicole) Baker of St. Clairsville, OH; a brother, Frank Baker, Sr. of Shadyside; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 11 am until time of funeral service at 1 pm at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, OH 43947. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marshall County Animal Shelter by going to “TMCFunding.com”

So sorry for the family’s loss. Dale and I are cousins and we grew up together in Dilles. He was a great man and I will miss him. My brother Butch and I would make visits to see Dale and we always had a great visit. Take care and May God Bless you Dale (Ick) Your Cousin Bugsy!!!
