David W. Brown, 69, of Powhatan Point, Ohio died March 8, 2016 at his home.
Dave was born July 6, 1946 in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Willard E. and Marcella K Matoszkia Brown.
He was employed at the former Cravat Coal Corp, Hills and Ames Department Stores. He was a Christian by Faith.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a son, Jeffrey Pedelose, two,brothers, Timothy Alan Brown, and Willard “Butch” Brown.
Surviving is his wife, Alice Seevers Brown, his children, Pat Stewart and David Pedelose of Powhatan Point, OH, Sabreena Beaverson of Ohio, Tina Brown of North Carolina, Amanda Resecker of Shadyside, OH, Tabbie Kieffaber of Millersburg, OH, Paula Erienwein of Stockport, OH, Charles Pedelose and Nancy Pedelose both of Toledo, OH , a sister, Vickie Burkhart and husband Gary of Malaga, OH. and a brother Wilfred “Lardy” Brown of Texas, 20 grandchildren and 2 Great grandsons.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point, Ohio, Saturday from 2pm until time of funeral service at 4pm with Pastor William Coker Jr. officiating.

So many good memories…
I can hear him say he does not like Okra, That would be the only thing. Then when pressed about it, he admitted, he just chose that because the had to choose something. It’s not really that he did not like Okra.
What a strong and gentle man. My heart goes out to you.
Sorry to hear about your dad ,he was a wonderful person ,work hard and a great dad,my heart goes out to his family and wife .but now there will be no pain and worries.hes at rest now in a peaceful and lovin place .times will be hard but always cherish the memories you had of him .God bless all of you .
So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. He was such a fun loving person. Never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was so much fun to work with at the Cravat strip mines back in the day. You will truly be missed Dave. May you rest in eternal peace!
