We knew DJ through the Big Brother program that my parents did. We met him in 2013, and he made our lives so much better. My brother and I would come home to visit on breaks, and I could tell my parents had so much fun with him and liked having a kid in the house again. He made us laugh, and we will always cherish the times we had with him: The trips to the NJ, the beach and NYC and that classic Christmas card he was in that still makes people laugh today. We are so saddened by the news and our hearts go out to his family and daughter. We love you, DJ, and we will meet again one day.

Love,
The Bauer Family (Greg, Jonette, Kyle, and Lauren and my husband, James)
