Dorotha M. Fowkes, 97, of Westerville, Ohio formerly of Shadyside, Ohio, died February 25, 2023 at The Landings of Westerville, Ohio.
Dorotha was born May 10, 1925 in Shadyside, Ohio a daughter of the late Walter and Eva (Yoho) Workman.
Dot retired from the United Bank/former Half Dollar Bank in Wheeling, WV. after serving 40 years. She previously worked at the Buckeye Savings Bank. She was a member of the Spring Road Church of Christ in Westerville, Ohio and attended the St. Clairsville Church of Christ while living in St. Clairsville, previously to that she attended the Shadyside Church of Christ. She was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She graduated from Bellaire High School class of 1943.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John William Fowkes; four sisters, Betty Jean Workman, Anna Virginia Zink, Margaret L. Noling and Frances J. Meeker.
Surviving is her daughter, Cynthia L. (J. Floyd) Holloway of Westerville, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Dot enjoyed fellowship with church members and hosted many dinners. She enjoyed reading, especially in her later years and listening to waltzes. She was very thoughtful and caring for anyone in need.
Dot will truly be missed by many as she stated, “I am the last leaf on the tree”, in reference to her four sisters.
Family and friends will be received on Friday March 3rd from 10 AM until time of service at noon with Evg. Jeffrey A. Kent officiating at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 3900 Central Ave. Shadyside, OH. Interment will be at Holly Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.

So saddened by this news. Her Grandson Philip, his wife Blaine and three girls Baylee, Trinity and Elliott send love and prayers to her family at this time. She was a great story teller.
