Edward M. Sedor, 91 of Shadyside, Ohio died Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Shadyside Care Center in Shadyside, Ohio.
He was born September 1, 1925 in Belmont county, Ohio a son of the late Maximillian and Mary Kisiala Sedor.
Ed was a retired draftsman for the former Olin Corporation at Hannibal, Ohio; a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and American Legion Post 521 both of Shadyside, Ohio. He was a combat engineer during World War II with the US Army and a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Engineering.
In addition to his parents, ed was preceded in death by his wife Ann Lee Bonar Sedor on December 17, 2004; one sister, Mary Ralbovsky and three brothers, Paul, Joseph and William Sedor.
Surviving are his children, Mark A. Sedor of Newark, Ohio, Gerry (Leo) Thomas and Dorothy McCormack both of Columbus, Ohio. Also six grandchildren, Catherine and Caroline Sedor, Kelli Thomas, Justin and Dustin Finney and Jinny Gambill, five great grandchildren, Brenden, Alyssa, Jael, Stephen and Matthew Finney and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio on Friday from 4 to 8 pm for a memorial gathering. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am with Fr. Samuel R. Saprano as Celebrant. Interment in the Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Clairsville, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
The Belmont County Council of the American Legion will conduct Full Military Services on Friday at 7 pm in the funeral home.

I am so sorry for your loss and unfortunately I was in hospital having kidney and cancer surgery. I will reach out to family my prayers are with you.
