Elizabeth Thomas, 92 of Bellaire, Ohio died Wednesday June 27, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born January 31, 1926 a daughter of the late Leroy and Lillian (Hockenberry) Marling in Bellaire, Ohio.
Elizabeth was a bundler for Bobby Brooks and worked for Stone & Thomas wrapping gifts.
She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, enjoyed Bunco and belonged to the Eagles Women’s Auxiliary.
Elizabeth loved westerns especially John Wayne and Shirley Temple movies.
In her free time she enjoyed puzzles but most of all she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much and baby sat them often.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Thomas, a daughter Virginia Seevers, a son Gregory Thomas, her brothers Wylie, James and Donald Marling as well as a granddaughter Megan Canter.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Mary) Thomas of Bellaire, Ohio and Kellie (Randy) Canter of Adena, OH.
In addition she is survived by her brothers Joseph (Evelyn) Marling of Bridgeport, OH and Charles (Shirley) Marling of Bellaire, OH as well as 4 grandchildren, Gregory (Shelly) Thomas, Michelle (Sam) Milhoan and Erik and Taylar Canter, along with three great-grandchildren Nathaniel, Sara and Jonathan.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her life long friend Alice Lane. Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441, 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio 43906 on Sunday July 1st from 2 pm until 7 pm.
Funeral service will be held on Monday July 2, 2018 at 12pm with Fr. Richard Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.
