Emma “Carole” McCorkle, 76, of Bellaire, OH, passed away on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at Park Health Care in St. Clairsville, OH.
She was born January 7th, 1945 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the adopted parents, Phillip and Helen (Piper) Campbell; and biological parents, Irma Campbell and Clarence Wheeler. She was a 1963 graduate of St. Clairsville High School, Methodist by faith and had attended West Bellaire Methodist Church as well as being a member of the local Bunko Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward McCorkle Sr.; a brother, Geoffrey Campbell; and a Granddaughter, Meagan Toothman.
Surviving are her son, Edward McCorkle, Jr. of Bellaire, OH; a daughter, Melissa (Tim) Oakley of Cincinnati, OH; a brother, Phillip “Doug” (Lanie) Campbell of Shadyside, OH; a sister, Beverly Fleming of Shadyside, OH; 6 Grandchildren, Victoria Oakley, Samuel Oakley, Bryan (Brooke) McCorkle, Thomas McCorkle, Emmajean (River) Riggenbach, Gage Roscoe McCorkle; and 3 Great Grandchildren, Ezekiel, Ezeleah and Ambrose McCorkle.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Monday July 5, 2021 at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 441 37th Street Bellaire, OH where services will be held on Tuesday July 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Rev. James Hoff officiating

Missy & Eddie Lee my condolences to the two of you and your families. I remember your mom as being so nice and funny too as we grew up. I don’t know who was funnier, your mom or dad !! They are together again and in a better place. Take Care of Each Other

She was a devoted wife to my cousin Eddie Lee, and always welcomed visitors to her home .He as a lucky man to have her as his wife.
