Floe Thompson, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at Liza’s Place on May 22, 2023, in Wheeling, WV, at the age of 90.

Born on July 23, 1932, in Cabell County, WV, Floe was the daughter of the late Lovie (Cook) and Bernie Bias.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tilden “Tom” Thompson, a daughter Brenda (Lester) Lucas, brothers William “Bill” Bias and Douglas “Doug” Bias, and sisters Iris (Bias) Roe and infant Stella Louie Bias.

Floe is survived by her three daughters, Tilena Craig, Chris (Tim) Krebs, Darlene (Ben) Littleton, a son, Randy Lester, and a brother, Bernie “Wayne” (Barbara) Bias. She will also be deeply missed by her grandson Steven (Carissa) Michener, granddaughters Tina (Charlie) McIntosh, Amy (Todd) Caldwell, Vanessa (Jessica Barclay) Craig, great-grandchildren Tyler and Ally Caldwell, Caitlyn, Camden, and Claire Michener, Mikayla McIntosh, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

After many years as owner/operator of Thompson Pennzoil in Bellaire, she began her well earned retirement in 1989. However, her true passion was her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always making sure they were well taken care of.

Floe was a devout Christian by faith and found comfort in her faith throughout her life. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 441 37th Street Bellaire, OH on Thursday May 25th from 6 to 8 PM and on Friday May 26th from 10 AM until time of service at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.

Floe will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on through her family and the impact she made on their lives.

Memorial contributions can be made to Liza’s Place, a Hospice center that provided compassionate care to Floe in her final days, at TMCFunding.com.

Tilena: Gene and I are so sorry to read of your Mom’s passing. I know the hole that the loss of your parents brings. It has been ages since we have seen you, but wanted you to know that we often think of you and remember going to your parents home and how nice your Mom was. I stopped at the gas station one time in the early 80’s to ask for directions, before the landscape had changed in Bellaire! I am sorry to have lost touch with you but I wanted to reach out to you and send our sympathies and prayers. May God give you the comfort that only He can give you at this time of sorrow.

Floe was so special! Loved my time helping out at the Pennsoil. You all were so great. Floe was always a quiet, peaceful soul. Always so kind to me. ” Go with Floe”! The gas wars over a penny with 7-11 ….. Chris and Tim, Dar and Ben, may God help you through this time.
