Ray Franklin “Frank” Britton Jr., 69, Bridgeport, Ohio died on March 6, 2018.

Frank was born August 23, 1948, in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Ray Franklin Britton Sr. and Mary Ruth (Crawford) Britton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah J. (Trautman) Britton; three sons, Ray “Frank” (Donna) Britton, III, of Belmont, Ohio, Chris (Jamie) Britton of Arley, Alabama, Michael Britton of Bridgeport, Ohio; and one daughter, Melissa James of Bethesda, Ohio; proud “Pap” to his treasured eight grandchildren, Madison, Josh, Erica, Emily, Elisa, Olivia, Travis and Levi; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth and Ruth Ann; and several nieces and nephews.

Frank was a gentle, loving and caring man, the heart of his family, and will be dearly missed by his immediate and extended family and friends.

He was retired after 40 years of service with the Bridgeport Auto Parts, and a former member of the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department.

A private memorial in celebration of Frank’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
