Frank Homko, 71 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.
He was born September 21, 1944 in Bellaire, Ohio the son of the late Frank and Mildred Bozick Homko.
Frank was a federal mine inspector with M.S.H.A. from 1972 to 2003 and taught Industrial Arts at Bellaire High School from 1968 to 1971. He was a graduate of Bellaire High School, class of 1962 and Ohio University in 1968 with a degree in Industrial Technology. Frank was a Serbian Orthodox by faith, a former member of the Belmont Hills Country Club for thirty years and an avid golfer. He has enjoyed spending many hours attending his grandchildren’’ numerous activities.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl Thames Homko, whom he married on August 17, 1968, his daughter, Jill Butts and her husband, Doug of St. Clairsville, ohio and his two grandchildren, DJ Butts and Leah Butts.
Family and friends will be received at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory 204 West Main Street St. Clairsville, Ohio on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am with Fr. Thomas A. Chillog officiating. Interment in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling, West Virginia.
