Geneva Rae Klempa, 87 of Wheeling, WV formerly of Bellaire, OH died Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Wheeling, WV.
She was born November 16, 1929 in Bellaire, OH, the daughter of the late Orphy R. and Antoinette DeBlasis Ricer.
Geneva was a retired employee of the former Ohio Fireworks and a member of the St. John Catholic Church both of Bellaire, OH. She was an active member of the Class of 1947 Reunion Committee and a former member of the Elks Lodge 419 Aux.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Jake” Klempa on January 15, 1995 and one daughter, Lorrie Jo on August 29, 1985.
Surviving are her children, Orphy M. (Mary Jo) Klempa of Wheeling, WV, Joseph (Debi) Klempa of Windsor Heights, WV, John F. (Gina) Klempa of Wilmington, Delaware, Rae Antoinette (Kim) Scott of Shadyside, OH and Geneva M. (Craig) Blacker of Bellaire, OH. Also fifteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, OH on Thursday from 2 to 8 pm. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 1 pm at the St. John Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Heusel, as Celebrant. Interment in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bellaire, OH.
