Peggy, I was so sad to hear of Geno’s passing. Penny called me today and told me the news. What wonderful memories we all have of our St.C days. It was so nice to see you both when I came back for Jim’s dedication into the St.C Hall of Fame. My thoughts are with you and your family, Love Mugsy

Peggy and Family,
The Sanford family was at Belmont Hills CC having supper on Wednesday 11/23. During which, we talked about how much we enjoyed seeing you and Geno during our visits to Belmont County. Geno was a warm, caring and generous person with a wonderfully funny sense of humor. Whenever we lament our aches and pains of aging, we would quote Geno…..” getting old aint for sissys” So sorry to learn of his passing. He will live forever in our memories.

As a young teammate, I always looked up to Geno—after all, he was an outstanding athlete, had a beautiful cheerleader girlfriend, and a great car—thus I enjoyed blocking for him! Prayers and condolences. Barry Hess

Dear Peggy Jo and Tammy,

My parents just informed me of Geno’s passing and I am so deeply sorry to hear this news. I have such fond memories of you both laughing while others joined in to a point where the entire room was lit up with the true spirit of friendship! Great fun was had by all when Geno was around and I still enjoy the great stories my parents tell when we are together. Just know that you and Tammy are in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
