Gerald M. Magnani, 74, of St. Clairsville, OH., died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at his home.
He was born May 8, 1943 in Lafferty, OH., a son of Josephine Jackowski Magnani and the late Primo Magnani.
Gerald was a retired foreman of Oxford Mining Co., a member of the former St. Mary Catholic Church of Lafferty and a member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving are his mother, Josephine Jackowski Magnani of St. Clairsville; his children, Christine (Jeffrey) Hoblick of Flushing, OH, Jeffrey (Barbara) Magnani of Arcanum, OH, Jason Magnani (Jody) of Clarington, OH, Tara (Daniel) Magnani of Woodsfield, OH, Adam (Stephanie) Magnani of St. Clairsville; a sister, Ellen (Fred) Foraker of Wadsworth, OH; a brother, Gene (Sharon) Magnani of Belmont, OH; 13 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 pm at Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home 204 West Main Street St. Clairsville, OH with Fr. Thomas Chillog officiating at 8 pm. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lafferty, OH at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Gate of Heaven Cemetery PO Box 72 Lafferty, OH 43951.

We are so sad to hear of Dego’s passing. John and I always enjoyed watching football games with him. He was a great boss and an all around great person. He will deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this Tim of sorrow.
