Geraldine Faye “Gerry” Holloway, 84, of Bellaire, OH died Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Wheeling Hospital.
Gerry was born August 25, 1935, in Bethesda, OH a daughter of the late Virgil and Della Mae King Wright.
She was a member of the Bellaire First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ where she served as Deaconess, Gerry loved all of her family and her hometown of Bellaire, Ohio. She was a 1954 “Faithful and Truehearted” graduate of Bellaire High School. She attended many Bellaire Big Reds athletic functions and truly was a “Big Red Forever.” She will be sadly missed.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Bob Holloway Sr. on January 19, 2007, a son Bobby Holloway Jr on
December 31, 2001, a sister Flo Ella Harman, her twin brother, Gerald D. “Bud” Wright .
Surviving is a daughter, Cathy (Steve) Chirpas of Bellaire, OH and a son, Brent (Linda) Holloway of Shadyside, OH., a brother, Virgil (Betty) Wright of Frederick, MD., two sisters, Donna Williams and Karen “KJ”(Jim) Teasdale all of Bellaire, OH., 8 grandchildren, Stevie (Lisa) Chirpas, Jeremy (Gina) Chirpas, Aaron (Jara) Chirpas, Sabrina Holloway, Bobbie Jo (Amp Warner) Hicks, B.A.Holloway, Kelsey (Jordan Sorge) Holloway, and Zach Holloway, 11 great-grandchildren, Bri, Jewel, Mia, Neko, Jayli, Bella, Giana, and Lia Chirpas, Kaleb and Karter Hicks and Gage Warner. Sisters-in-law, Scherry Wright of Weirton, WV and Charlene Holloway Boyd of Columbus, OH, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bellaire Christian Church, 3565 Belmont Street, Bellaire, OH on Thursday, January 23, 2020, from 10 am until time of funeral service at noon with Pastors Gerry Garloch, and Eric White officiating.
Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.

I am so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I have very fond memories of her when we were teens, and all her attempts to keep us in line as typical teenagers. I think I was at your house spending the night more than I was at home, and she was always very welcoming and kind to me. Just know my thoughts and prayers are with your and yours at this time of sorrow.
