Me and gordy worked together at century mine for years. He showed me a lot as a new red hat and we had a lot of good times back then. He was a hell of a good guy and I’m sure he’s drinking a shot right now with our old buddy pat Patterson and looking down, or up on me and my kids and smiling.

Thoughts & prayers for the entire Irwin family. Earn & Benito were two of the earliest influential characters in my life up on the hill in Shadyside – sad that both passed much too early. Trust in the Lord!

I respected this man tremendously. He was like a father to me, and he didn’t have to be. One of my memories I have of him would be a camping trip..he had a beer in hand And buddies all around. I might have been 5 or 6 years old , I grab his beer and dumped it out and told Gordy u are having way to much fun!! Lol I will never forget him that’s for sure! Gordy also had a wonderful family who also treated me like one of their own. My favorite time with all of them would be Christmas time. The Irwin family definitely showed the true meaning of Christmas. I wish I could go back a little into time and let him know that he was an awesome father figure and just an all around good person. He will be missed and never forgotten
