Helen L. Campbell, 91 of Shadyside, Ohio died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Shadyside Care Center.
She was born in Belmont County, Ohio on January 24, 1927 a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Brown Piper.
Helen was a retired employee of the former City Hospital in Bellaire, owner and operator My Lady Beauty Shop. She was a member of the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside, Order of Eastern Star Captina Chapter 489, Past Worthy Matron, former White Shrine, Past Worthy High Priestess, Mother advisor to the Rainbow Girls and Life Member of the VFW Post 626 Auxilliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Geoffrey Campbell, three brothers, Albert Brown, Dale Piper and Wilfred Piper and two sisters, Wanda Yingling and an infant sister.
Surviving are her children, Beverly Fleming of Shadyside, Ohio, Carole (Ed) McCorkle of Bellaire, Ohio and Doug (Lanie) Campbell of Shadyside, Ohio and one sister, Genevieve Beckett of Newark, Ohio. Also six grandchildren and serveral great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio on
Thursday from 4 to 8 pm and Friday from 1 pm until time of services at 2 pm with Rev. Randy Weaver officiating.
Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Order of Eastern Star services will be held at 7 pm Thursday.

Helen did my grandmother and my mother’s hair and when we were kids she used to cut our hair. She was a wonderful person. I’m recuperating from surgery or I would have tried to make it down to the funeral home. Your family are all in my thoughts and prayers.
