My deepest sympathies to the Stanley Family. I was one of his students in Powhatan High School. He was a beautiful pianist. Many memories of him from school.
I am a nurse at Sr Suites where Henry & Mary resided. I enjoyed getting to know both of them. Henry was always looking out for Mary. I could tell they spent a lot of wonderful years together. It was always so uplifting when Henry would come down to the dining room & play the piano! Several of the residents would gather around to listen to him play. Henry is missed & I will keep Mary & the family in my thoughts & prayers.
MARY, MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.
Soo many memories of Sunday school at the Presbyterian church as a child and church and as an adult when I would come home for Easter or Christmas services. I loved hearing Mr. Stanley play.
Prayers and Love sent to our family. When Henry left us, he took so much of the family history with him. I enjoyed talking to him and appreciate all he gave to me. I can see the celebration in heaven and know Melvin is happy to see his brother. God and the angels will love the new organist and pianist to accompany their singing. What a great homecoming! You are missed and we are praying for Mary and all she is going through. Karen, Jeremy, Steven, & Mitchell
I didn’t know Henry for as many years as a lot of others. I only got to know him as our choir director, pianist, and organist. I sure will miss him when I come home for a visit and sing with the choir. He was a very talented man, who will be greatly missed.
