Herman R. “Bob” Hoffman, 74 of Bellaire, Ohio died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Acuity Specialty Hospital of the Ohio Valley at Wheeling surrounded by his loving family

He was born September 1, 1943 in Bellaire, Ohio the son of the late Alex and Mary Hoffman.

Bob was a retired coal miner with the Consol Coal Corporation’s Shoemaker Mine, a member of the Bellaire Salvation Army, VFW Post 626 and DAV Post 117. He was a US Army veteran, having served three tours of duty in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kevin Clark.

Surviving are his loving wife, Sandra K. Parker Hoffman, whom he married on June 10, 1967, having celebrated 50 years of marriage this past June; his loving children, Robert (Becky) Hoffman of St. Joe, Ohio and Lynn Clark of St. Clairsville, Ohio, his sister, Penny Jo (Bill) Hitchcock of Colerain, Ohio. Also four grandchildren, Alexander (Cassie) Hoffman, Zack Hoffman, Daphne Clark and Tiffany Hoffman and his beloved dogs, Zoey and Peanut.
A memorial visitation and service will be held at a later date to be announced.
