James B. Farmer, Sr., 64, of Jacobsburg, OH died Sunday, November 3, 2019 at his home. James was born October 12, 1955 in Bellaire, OH., a son of the late Barney R. and Peggy Jane VanGoshen Farmer.

James was known to be an adventurer and served in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Deborah Sovich Farmer.

Surviving are two sons, James B. Farmer, II of Wheeling and Jeremiah T. Farmer, Sr. of Moundsville, WV; two sisters, Shirley Faye Newell of Zepherhills, FL and Susan Jane Gibbons of Lakeland, FL; four grandchildren, Jeremiah T. Farmer, Jr., Nola Farmer, Lainee Farmer and Janelle Farmer.

As per his request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Final arrangements at the convenience of the family.
