James G. Snider, 80, of Jacobsburg, OH died Friday, February 21, 2020 at Liza’s Place of Valley Hospice, Wheeling, WV.
James was born June 8, 1939 in Bellaire, OH, a son of the late George A. and Genevieve Murphy Snider.
James was retired employee of Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local 83, a member of St. John Catholic Church and proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Frederick “Bud” Snider.
Surviving are his wife, Charlesetta Myers Snider of Jacobsburg; his children, Gerry Lynn (Art) Eisenhauer of Wheeling, Cheryle (Mike Lanning) Snider of Bellaire, Jimmy (Kristin) Snider of Jacobsburg and Holly (Chad) Weatherson of Shadyside, OH; siblings, Fremont “Murph” (Sharon) Snider of St. Clairsville, OH, Karen (Bill) Kahl of Bellaire and David (Cheryle) Snider of Jacobsburg; grandchildren, Meagan (Chris) Hammond, Jake Sabinsky, Jesse Wyckoff, Bradley Eisenhauer, Isaac Wyckoff, C.J. Eisenhauer, Abbigail Gianangeli, Ean Weatherson, Ali Weatherson, Kamdin Snider and Kaden Snider; great grandchildren, Paisley, Wyatt, Charlie and Emma James Hammond; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2-8 pm at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire with a Vigil Service at 7:45 pm.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Heusel as celebrant. Final arrangements at the convenience of the family.

Charlie and family; I have no words that can express my thoughts . Jerry and I started apprentice training class together , we worked many years together .A finer person could not be found , he will be missed by all he touched . My prayers are with you and your family . God Bless !!
