James L. Taylor, 92 of Bellaire, Ohio died Thursday, September 23, 2021, at his home

He was born April 30, 1929 on Pipecreek, son of the late William and Mary (Graham) Taylor.

He was Presbyterian by faith and self-employed as a carpenter and farmer. James was a member of the Weyer Masonic Lodge #541, Martins Ferry Elks and the Osiris Shriner (Patrol and Belmont Shrine Club.)

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Mae (Nelson) Taylor, and a brother, William Taylor, Jr.

Surviving are his children, Amy Baker of Worthington, Ohio, Ruth Taylor of Apopka Florida, and Chuck (Shari) Taylor of Bellaire, Ohio. Sisters; Eileen Slack of Bellaire, Ohio,  Virginia Horn, of Shadyside, Ohio, Naomi Schrum, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Kathryn Graham, of Parkersburg, WV.  Grandchildren; Corey Pohlmann, of Orlando, FL,  Nathan (Dan) Baker-Dinneen, of Worthington, Ohio,  Kyle (Lamence) Baker, of Worthington, Ohio,  Ashley (Corey) Martin, of Shadyside, Ohio, Chelsea  (Joshua) Palmer, of Kensington, Ohio, Jaymes (Jessica) Taylor, of Shadyside, Ohio. Great-Grandchildren; Jayce, Colt, Jolene, Kyle Jr., Jonah, Henry, Layla, and one expected great-granddaughter, Amelia. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside Ohio on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 5-8pm with the Masonic Lodge  service at 7:45pm. Funeral services will be held at the Taylor Family Farm on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11am. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
