James M. Faunda Sr. 86, of Clarington, Ohio, Formerly of Dillonvale, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at Stellar Care Center, Woodsfield, OH.
James was born May 24, 1934, in Dillonvale, Ohio a son of the late Mike and Mary Kelley Faunda.
He was retired from Consolidation Coal Corporation and was a member of the Friends Church, Smithfield, OH.
Preceding him in death were his wives, Minnie Elizabeth (nee Ensell) Faunda, Mary Ellen (nee Angus) Faunda , and Joan (nee Francis) Faunda , a brother, William “Buzz” Faunda.
Surviving are his children, Anthony Lee (Olga) Faunda of Virginia Beach, VA., James M. (Lois) Faunda Jr. of Tuscaloosa, AL., Sharon (John) Worwa of Mt. Pleasant, OH., John (Patty) Faunda of St. Clairsville, OH., Sandra Haslam of Cameron, OH., James M. (Vicki) Faunda II of Clarington, OH., and Mike Faunda II of Boulder, CO., a sister, Kathleen Ziegler of Powell, OH and sister-in-law, Janie Faunda of Mt. Pleasant, OH. numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family visitation and funeral at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio.
Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, OH.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends Church of Smithfield Ohio food Pantry.

Jimmy was a great human being! I am Jimmy’s cousin – Terry J. FAUNDA – my father John Faunda & his dad Mike Faunda were brothers! I know Jimmy is in heaven and at peace! Jimmy got me a job at the coal mines but I chose a career with the United States Army where a made a career out of the service@ Jimmy – brothers always!
