JoAnn J.Long, 89, of Bellaire went home to be with her savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at WVU Medicine, Wheeling Hospital.

She was born January 26, 1934 in Bellaire, OH a daughter of the late William McKinley and Della Mae (Crouse) Long.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Geneva Ruth Long, James William Long, and Darlene Nellie (Long) Clark and a nephew, Gary Clark

JoAnn was a long time active member of the South Bellaire United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Women’s Society, sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. JoAnn was also known as ‘Aunt Jo’ to many.

Surviving are her Nieces and nephews, Cynthia (Gene) Freeman, Mark (Kim) Clark, Mike (Vanessa) Clark , Suzanne (Michael) Geiser, Joanne (Vernon) Fabry, Jamie (Clifford) Redman, and Todd (Lori) Long, niece in law Sheryl, as well as many great, great-great and “adopted” nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, OH 43906 on Wednesday March 29, 2023, from 6-8pm and again on Thursday March 30, 2023 from 11 until time of funeral services at 1pm. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire Ohio.
