John S. Morgan Sr.74 of Shadyside, OH passed away April 21, 2021 at home.

Born December 14, 1946, son of the late Nelson and Helen Morgan.

Known to his friends as Mogy he worked for Staley Communications and Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel.

He was an avid Ham radio operator and an electronics specialist, his call sign was WD8CBC.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Forrestal.

He spent a lifetime helping others as an EMT/ Paramedic.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Suzie Morgan.

He is survived by his loving wife Susan (Dvorak) Morgan, and his children, John Jr of Shadyside, Ohio, William Morgan, of Bellaire, Ohio, J.T. Morgan of Shadyside, Ohio, Michael (Paula) Joyce of Martinsburg, WV and Vanessa (Michael) Wright of Shadyside, Ohio.

In addition he is survived by his brother, Thomas (Becky) Morgan of Pipe Creek, Ohio and a sister Margaret (Dean) Thomas of Belmont, NC.

John is also survived by six grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Melissa, Olivia, Anna and Kadence, a niece Chelsie and a nephew Gabe and his two dogs Chloe and Rocky.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441, 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Saturday April 24, 2021 from 1 pm until time of service at 3 pm with Rev. James Hoff officiating.

Final disposition will be held at the convenience of the family.

Prayers to all that knew him
John was a great help to the amateur radio community
He was a member of amateur radio emergency services he was very knowledgeable on anything to do with radio communications
He told me all the best places to get Paw Paws
He enjoyed his house pets and the horses
But most of all he loved his family.
