John Steiner Sr.

John R. Steiner Sr. 92 of Bellaire, Ohio died Friday October 12, 2018 at Ohio State University. He was born May 13, 1926 a son of the late Paul and Bessie (Martin) Steiner in Hopedale, Ohio. John was a WWII veteran serving in the Army. He was a control operator for A.E.P Tidd Power Plant for 36 years and retired from Cardinal. He was married to Ann (Anderson) Steiner and spent many wonderful years with her. John loved working in the yard, travel and going for aimless rides in the car with his special friend Bonnie. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his siblings, Paul Steiner, Leota Biehl and Helen Warfield. He is survived by his children, Brenda (Richard) Bartlow of Ormond Beach, FL, John R. Steiner Jr. of Bellaire, OH, Paul (Geeta) Steiner of Grove City, OH and Martin (Jean)Steiner of Bellaire, OH. He is also survived by his long time friend Bonnie Yonak of Martins Ferry, OH as well as 12 grandchildren, Zachary Bartlow, Paul Steiner, Taylor Sheets, Brigetta Miller, John Steiner III, Jennifer Steiner, Joseph Steiner, Jared Steiner, Cara Duncan, Keith Steiner, Bethany Eddy and Breea Burke along with 12 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441, 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio 43906 on Thursday October 18th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and again on Friday October 19th from 10 am until time of service at noon with Rev. Bill Marinelli officiating. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio where full military honors will be conferred, Memorial contributions can be made to the Chambers YMCA in Elm Grove by going to “TMCFunding.com”.
