Julia Chambers

Julia Chambers 96 of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Monday January 23, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born March 14, 1920 a daughter of the late William and Anna (Kasich) Sarich in Dilles Bottom, Ohio. Julia was a homemaker and loved her family very much. She was a Presbyterian by faith and attended the Powhatan Presbyterian Church. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emory Chambers and her five sisters, Barbara Pfemming, Mildred Meyers, Catherine Bartolovich, Rose Alvernesio and Margaret Berklich along with one grandson Joseph John Petro. She is survived by her children Barbara (Joseph) Petro of New Athens, Ohio and James Chambers of Powhatan Point, Ohio. In addition she is survived by two grandchildren, James Jason Chambers and Justin James Chambers along with several great and great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held by the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 186 Main St. Powhatan Point, Ohio 43942 on Thursday January 26, 2017 at 10 am at Powhatan Cemetery with Pastor William Coker Jr. officiating.
