Katherine Susan Murphy, 66 of Shadyside, Ohio died Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in the Wheeling Hospital.
She was born July 25, 1952 in Liverpool, West Virginia a daughter of the late Lloyd “Dick” Willington and Alice Marie Kinder Hill.
Katherine was the founder and owner of Kiss My Books in Brentwood, California.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Paul “Charley” Murphy and three brothers, James and Wayne Hill and Darrell Gilpin.
Surviving are her daughter, Vicky Murphy of Brentwood, California, four sisters, Brenda (Danny) Trigg of Shadyside, Ohio, Bev (Jake) Blankenship of Leroy, West Virginia, Cindy Burdette of Louisville, Kentucky and Carolyn (Gene) Potts of Spencer, West Virginia, three brothers, Dale (Joyce) Hill of Ben’s Run, West Virginia, Gary (Judy) Hill of Red House, West Virginia and Larry (Lynn) Hill of Nebo, North Carolina. Also several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Sandyville Senior Center in Sandyville, West Virginia on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 2 to 5 pm.
