Laura Dyer, 69 of Shadyside, Ohio died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born October 29, 1947 in Ayr, Scotland the daughter of the late Albert “Blondie” and Violet Smith Hayes.
Laura was a former Home Health Aide, a member of the Bellaire Eagles FOE 371 Auxiliary, VFW Post 626 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 521 Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Hayes.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Dyer, whom she married on April 4, 1969, three children, Quintin Helms of Pickerington, Ohio, Keeli (Steven) Armstrong of Lewis Center, Ohio and Major Thomas Theresa) Dyer of Pacifica, California and four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dyer, Haley Dyer, Lauren Armstrong and Cameron Armstrong.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm where services will be held on Friday at 10 am with officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.
