Linda Carol Di Nardo passed away on February 26, 2019 in Arlington, Virginia after a battle with a powerful pneumonia.

Linda was born in and was a resident of Bellaire, and later Shadyside until moving to Columbus where she worked as a research assistant at The Ohio State University Hospital.

She left OSU to become a student at Smith College in Massachusetts – spending one year of study in Italy, which she dearly loved and obtained a degree in Political Science and ESL. Returning, Virginia became her home, teaching science and ESL to people from around the world.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Emilio and Sue Di Nardo and is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Ron Yaros, niece, Amy (Paul), nephew, Andrew (Heather) and seven (Andrew, Mathew, Francesca, Paloma, Trevor, Eric & Alex) adoring nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and many loving friends.

Linda chose to be cremated and laid to rest at the mausoleum site of her family – these requests, being granted with love.

If desired, a donation in Linda’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Auntie, Linda, dear friend, with your beautiful smile & loving heart we will love you forever.

Dear Gloria and family,. I am so sorry for your loss. I truly loved Linda as a sister and will miss our regular chats keeping each other updated on our families. I have fond memories of us being roommates at Mrs Raders, the bridal shower she gave, the trip to your mom and dad’s, what a great cook Sue was and what a great lady she was. It will be 50 years this July that Linda brought me home from school to startmy career.I will always cherish times we have visited over the years. I will miss our conversations as she always made me laugh. She truly loved you all and spoke so fondly of her nieces and nephews. My biggest regret is that I didn’t get to see her one last time.

Dear Gloria and Family, you have my deepest condolences on Linda’s passing. She (and you) we’re big influences in my life, as strong, independent, artsy, traveling women. She was warm, loving, and so much fun to spend time with. I always learned something from her and was so happy to see her at Tina B’s a couple of years ago. She will truly be missed, (as is your wonderful Mom.) Blessings to all of you. And God Bless Dear Linda.

Our deepest condolences to Gloria, Ron, Amy, Andrew, and all of Linda’s family. Linda and I had deep and profound connections originating in Barisiano, Italy. Her grandmother and my grandfather were baptized there together in a small mountain church. The relationships traveled across the ocean to a Little Italy in south Bellaire, and from there eventually traveled across our nation. Linda and I were lifelong best friends. Our conversations continued for hours at a time, often with Gloria and our mothers, sometimes until dawn. We told the same old stories over and over and laughed and laughed. Linda’s family became my family and even her friends became my friends. Linda was intelligent, beautiful, and epitomized the word CHARISMA. Everyone was drawn to her. May she Rest In Peace.

Condolences Gloria and family. Although Linda and I had been out of touch for a while after we both left Shadyside, we had reconnected via social media. Rest easy, Linda.

I lost one of my best friends ends with the passing of Linda. I miss her every day, as we talked every day on the phone! I had been friends with Linda since we were little girls in Shadyside and, after I married, we continued our friendship in Columbus. She was the Maid of Honor in my wedding and was with us as we celebrated our 50eth almost two years ago. My whole family knew her and loved her. She was Auntie Linda, first to my daughter, and then my grandchildren. Linda will live in my heart forever! I just wish I had been able to say goodbye!
