Lucy C. Kaluger, 92 of Shadyside, Ohio died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.
She was born September 24, 1924 in Benwood, West Virginia a daughter of the late Angelo M. and Lena M. DeGenova Rich.
Lu was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Shadyside, Ohio, Catholic Womens Club, St. Francis Society and the Italian American Mothers Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Kaluger, an infant daughter, Jean Carol Kaluger, her son, Gary Kaluger, her sisters, Mary J. Masciarelli and Angela M. Heller and one brother, Rocco Rich.
Surviving is her brother, Joseph C. Rich of Benwood, West Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 am at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Shadyside, Ohio with Fr. Samuel R. Saprano as Celebrant. Entombment in the Guardian Angel Mausoleum in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.

I will never forget her wit and her laughter…card parties at Grandma’s, family reunions,her Really Good lasagne…but most important her love of family and ability to make everyone feel special..will always love and miss you….
