Margaret D. Merryman, 95, of Shadyside, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2021. She was born on January 28, 1926 to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Conrad) Smith.

> She was retired from the Shadyside Care Center as a LPN and was a member of the Benwood American Legion Post #46 Auxiliary. She was a winter resident of Venice, Fl. Margaret’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Dancing Grandma had a love for dancing. She was a Line Dance Instructor in Venice and Shadyside for over 30 years. She and her dancers performed all over the valley. They were known as The Young at Hearts. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shadyside, OH.

> She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Merryman, a daughter: Sue Ann Koch, and infant son: John, 5 brothers, 7 sisters, and 2 infant sisters.

> Surviving are sons, Tom (Margie), Ken “Willie”, Tim (Sharon), Randy “Hot Dog” (Deanna) all of Shadyside, and Pat (Paul) of Sarasota, Fl. A daughter Amy (Tom) Lowe, of Shadyside, a son-in-law Doug Koch of Venice, Fl. 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Sisters: Ella Mae McGill, Patsy Taylor, and a brother: Mike Smith all of Benwood, numerous nieces and nephews.

> The family would like to thank the staff at Shadyside Care Center for the loving care of their mom.

> Arrangements by Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home will be at the convenience of the family. The family will celebrate Margaret’s life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mead Township Park District, P.O. Box 74, Shadyside, OH 43947.

We were saddened to hear of Aunt Margaret’s passing. We extend our sincere condolences to all of Aunt Margaret’s children and their families. Aunt Margaret was a wonderful woman. She was always kind and welcoming whenever we visited. She will be greatly missed. May God bless Aunt Margaret and all of her family.

To the Merryman Family: Our Sincere Condolences. I (Bobby) LOVED the videos posted on Facebook of how ACTIVE she was and seen it firsthand at the Care Center when I went down to visit my Mom. She was TRULY a SPECIAL and ENTERTAINING PERSON that I’m sure will be missed!!!!!
