Margaret “Helen” Davidson, 77 of Shadyside, Ohio died Monday, October 8, 2018 in the Shadyside Care Center surrounded by her family.

She was born November 5, 1940 in Wellsburg, West Virginia a daughter of the late Wesley and Mary Anna Murphy Beagle.

Helen was a homemaker, member of the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside, Ohio, past president of the United Methodist Womens Club, Order of Eastern Star, Captina Chapter 489. She was active in the Methodist church’s Food Pantry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. “Arch” Davidson on April 25, 2014 and four brothers, Wesley, Clarence, Harry and Ray Beagle and a grandson, Keith Davidson.

Surviving are her children, Christy (Wayne) Cooper, Richard Davidson and Keith (Sherri) Davidson all of Shadyside, Ohio and her sister, Josephine “Ellen” Jones of Weirton, West Virginia. Also four grandchildren, Evan Cooper,  Randall Davidson, Haley Lovell and Alyxis Davidson and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio on Saturday from 9am until time of services at 10:30 am with Rev. Seth Filburn officiating. Interment in the Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Helen always had a smile on her face. We loved her. Her and Arch were the sweetest married couple. Always doing things. Loved watching them play volley ball at Wellness Center. She was a true lady of God. And a pleasure to know.
