Marlene Cerullo, 71, of Shadyside, Ohio passed away Monday, June 27, 2022, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born October 5, 1950 in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank Robert and Helen Elizabeth Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Smith.
Surviving are her husband, John Cerullo, daughters Michele and Krista Cerullo, her beloved grandsons Lorenzo and Luca Cerullo, brothers Joe Smith and Danny (Judy) Smith, sisters Patty (Tim) Porter, Pam (Bill) Appolloni, Paula Smith, Mary Lou (Marty) Marn, and Sandy (Howard) Mackey, sister-in-law Kathy Cerullo and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marlene was a nurse for nearly 50 years treating patients at Bellaire City/Belmont Community Hospital, Wheeling Hospital, and Elmhurst House of Friendship before retiring to care for her grandsons.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio 43947 on Friday July 1, 2022, from 4-8pm. Services will be held Saturday at 10am. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery, Bellaire Ohio.

Marlene was always, always so cheerful and full of life. I worked with her at Belmont Community Hospital for many years. She treated everyone with kindness. I last saw her when we were at the same doctor’s office for an appointment and we talked and reminisced about old times. She will be missed by many. RIP Marlene Wishing her family and numerous friends peace and happy memories.
Marlene was so cheerful and helpful with the twins. I would see her when I would stop by to see Michele. I didn’t know her well but I could tell she is a selfless amazing mom and grandma.
