Mary Eileen Powell, 92, of Shadyside, Ohio entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at her home.
She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on July 21, 1929 a daughter of the late Stella (Wysocki) Armstrong and Cecil Armstrong. She was a graduate of Union High school in Benwood, West Virginia, a retired federal employee for MSHA in St. Clairsville, Ohio and a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shadyside, Ohio and the Catholic Womens’ Club.
She is survived by her children, her son, Robert G. Powell and his wife, Nancy, her daughter, Susan Powell, two granddaughters, Samantha Marie Powell and Mary Courtney Powell and one grandson, Travis Myers. Also seven great grandchildren, which she loved very much and one sister, Phyllis Qwoc of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania and her brother, Cecil Armstrong.
The Powell’s would like to thank the caring nurses and aides of Stonerise Health and Hospice for their care and love throughout our mother’s care.
Graveside services at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling, West Virginia will be held at the convenience of the family with Fr. Daniel Heusel officiating.
