Mary Louise Henry, 85 of Bellaire, Ohio died Sunday, July 14, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born November 21, 1933 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late Ray Green, Sr. and Gertrude Thomas Green.
Mary Louise was a retired second grade elementary teacher with the Bellaire School District, a member of the Belmont County Retired Teachers Association, the Ohio Retired Teachers Association and a member of the former St. Paul AME Church in Bellaire, ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt N. “Rosey” Henry on April 3, 2004, her grandson, Phillip Wayne Chase on October 31, 2001, sisters, Naomi Wright, Katherine Jackson, Vera Green, Helen Beaver, Alice Walker and Carrie Hopkins and brothers, Spotwood, Charles, Thomas, Jack, Ray, Jr. and Victor Green.
Surviving are her sons, Clarence E. Chase of Bellaire, Ohio and Wayne P. Chase and his wife, Cindy of St. Clairsville, Ohio and one sister, Nettie (Eugene) Cassells of Hampton, Virginia. Also her granddaughter, Monica Chase of Mason, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Friday from 11 am until time of services at 1 pm with Bishop Michael Tolliver and Tunch Ilkin officiating. Interment in the Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Mrs. Henry was my first grade teacher and I absolutely loved her!! She was such a warm and kind person who helped me transition to school. I remember her having everyone hold their hands palm-side towards yourself and she would say if you can see your fingernails they need cut! Heaven has gained another angel.
What a wonderful and sassy woman and teacher. Prayers for all who knew and loved her.
