Maxine Bearce, 92 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday Septermber 3, 2016 at Forest Hill Retirement Community.

Maxine was born December 31, 1923 a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Zimmerman) Bryan in Milesburg, PA.

Maxine worked as a Dental Hygienist and as a Laboratory Tech for National Gypsum for many years.

She was a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary of the American Institute of Mining Engineers and was very active in her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years Wendell Bearce as well as a son Wendell Bearce Jr.

She is survived by her children, John (Becky) Bearce, Peter (Mary) Bearce, Natalie (Fred) Lefebvre, Virginia (Arthur) Astore and Lawrence (Evie) Bearce. In addition she is survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950 on Saturday September 10, 2016 from 1 pm until time of service at 2 pm with Rev. Daniel Barrett officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Maxine shared a room with my mom at Forest Hill Care Center. She was a very pleasant and special lady. Our family sends its condolences.
