Michael W. Rose, 56 of Bellaire, OH died Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Mike was born December 28, 1962 in Muskegon, MI a son of Paul and Rhea Sparks Rose.
Mike was a school teacher with Martins Ferry Middle School for 20 years having taught English and History. He taught at St. John Central School prior to his job at Martins Ferry serving as a football coach at both schools. Mike was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony Rose and Mark Rose.
Surviving are his parents, Paul and Rhea Rose of Bellaire; his children, Michael W, Rose, Jr of St. Clairsville, Meghan (Ben) Jackson of Cleveland, OH and Marissa Rose of St. Clairsville; a sister-in-law, Lisa Rose; two nephews, Chad Rose and Tyler Rose.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 1-8 pm at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, OH 43906 with a Knights of Columbus service at 7:30 pm and a vigil service at 7:45 pm.
He will be missed and remembered by his children.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Monday at 2 pm at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Heusel as celebrant. Final arrangements at the convenience of the family.

Myself and the entire Metz family sends our deepest condolences and love to all who had the privilege of knowing and loving Mike. Mike always held a special place in our hearts and will always be remembered with love. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Mike was the best motivator I have had the pleasure of coaching with! I use one or more of his sayings everyday. He will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. I will miss him and remember all of the good times. Mike… it was always a pleasure!!!
