Many years ago my mother was taking me and my 2-yr. old sister back to Germany to visit her mother. At the time, they let my dad escort us onto the plane and get us settled. He heard another woman with two small children speaking German and asked her to talk to my mother during the flight since my mom spoke little English. Thus began a long friendship. We visited between Shadyside and Pittsburgh. We eventually lost contact with them, but I found Monica on FB. It was so nice to catch up. I am extremely saddened to hear of her passing. My condolences to her entire family.

We are heartbroken to hear of Monica’s passing. Having met Monica’s at Jambo over 40 years ago, she & JR became very close friends. We didn’t let the distance between CT & Ohio get in the way of our friendship. Sending love, prayers & comfort to JR, Angie & all of Monica’s family & friends. Rest Easy Monica. Love your CT friends, Louie & Nancy Tag
