Nancy Lee Fry 77,  of Bellaire, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Diversicare Nursing Home in Greenville, Kentucky surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 12, 1939 in Bellaire, Ohio, the daughter of the late William “Bill” Thornton and Esther Reese Thornton.

Nancy was retired from Bank One and was also a secretary for former Congressman Bob Ney. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church and a 1957 graduate of Bellaire High School.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles “Bud” Fry and sisters, Olive Jean Howell and Betty Thornton.

Nancy is survived by her son, Chris Fry of Seaman, Ohio, granddaughters, Sarah Fry and Abigail Fry and one great grandson, Kasen Wester all of Morgantown, Kentucky. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Linda Kay Childers and Buck Thornton both of Neffs, Ohio, Judy Leiffer of Bellaire, Ohio and Bill Thornton of Lore City, Ohio. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends received 2-4pm & 6-8 pm Monday at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire, OH where funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday with Reverend David Demarest officiating.

Interment follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove,Ohio.

Chris , Words can’t express my dad feelings right now, you mom and dad are together again and with your grandma and grandad Thorton and Jean . You know how much me and my dad enjoyed our talks when we got there !!! All my best to you and the family . Sorry I can’t be there , I live in Texas

Dear Chris & Family,

Our sincere sympathy to Chris & Family. Nancy & Bud were good friends of all our family, a very well liked couple in town, both as nice as can be, went the extra mile for all. May they both rest in peace!
